MEMBERSHIP
Together we work the land, growing and sharing veg, and restoring a once-lovely walled garden. Please come and have a look on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. Membership is open to all who live and/or work in the Horsleys and to others by invitation. It is/always will be free of charge. To keep up with news of G&F, you can join our mailing list here.

JOIN GRACE AND FLAVOUR
Our members join for many different reasons. You might want:
- a share in what is produced
- to share your knowledge & skills
- to learn about growing vegetables
- to meet new people
- to get fit
- to learn new skills
- an opportunity to spend some time in the open air
Some or all of the above! It is up to you how much or how little you want to get involved.Membership is free so Contact Us to join! Membership has its benefits, including:
- Work on the sites and help with the growing and harvesting of produce
- Buy a share of the harvest with discounts depending on your status and how often you are able help out
- Come to our social events
- Receive e-mail updates from us
- Have a say in how the garden is run and what is grown
WORKING DAYS
The main working party day is Saturday with regular sessions also on Tuesday and Thursday. Anyone wishing to help out on our sites can turn up any time from 9.30am. Saturday starts with harvesting in the morning and then gardening duties through the day. There's always a good group of people, the hard core that turn up every time and those that can come when they can make it. It's not just about growing, we always have a good chat, catch up with each other and often put the world to rights. Copious amounts of hot tea and cake are always available.
DISCOUNTS ON PRODUCE
There is no defined time commitment; the garden will take as much or as little as you can give it! The discount on your produce is calculated according to the average number of hours you work in the garden each week. Those joining are supporting members, entitled to a 20% discount, until they work in the garden, at which time they become active members. You can combine your hours with that of another person who can be your spouse or partner, or any other member of your family.Active members work in the garden, earning discounts as detailed below. It is an ‘honesty system’ – each member calculates their own discount. Active members have the first option to buy what we grow.Supporting members are very much welcomed and appreciated.
Supporting members wanting to buy produce at the garden are asked to do so on Saturdays no earlier than 12 noon – this is so that active members retain the first option to buy what they have grown.
